ELEVATED LIVING – Inhabitat Concept Project ISH08

Located 120 meters above sea level this stunning villa boasts sweeping views from the coast of Moraira to Calpe.

The dry-stone basement walls simulate the traditional agricultural terracing and serve to support a sturdy square volume of grey concrete. This robust volume, that accommodates the tranquil sleeping area and includes a master bedroom with en-suite and 3 additional bedrooms with private bathroom and dressing area, appears to float over the glass enclosure on the ground floor, which houses the day area and consists of different living and entertaining areas which can be adapted for many uses, incorporating a fifth bedroom that serves as guest accommodation.

The ground floor flows directly out onto the spacious terrace and outdoor entertainment area, and the beautifully landscaped garden which is highlighted by the sublime infinity pool.

A project that respects the privileged environment of the Benissa coastline whilst maximizing the enjoyment of the extraordinary views. This area of the North Costa Blanca coastline is characterized by the terraced fields that divide up the land which, in times past, produced the greatest agricultural wealth of the region: grapes and almonds. By using traditional dry stone walls and exposed concrete with a carefully chosen texture and colour shade, we seek to fully blend the building into its surroundings. The accesses and indoor-outdoor spaces are sequenced to follow the layout of the natural terracing, adapting to the existing topography and integrating completely into the plot’s surface features.

As an option, the project can be extended down to the basement level, housing independent guest quarters and an entertainment centre. Continuous and fluid spaces on all floors that open up to nature are the key to the exceptional design of this project.
